Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how MonTake collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the app. By using MonTake, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

Information you provide

MonTake may store information you choose to enter, including subscription names, prices, billing cycles, categories, renewal dates, trial dates, notes, budget settings, savings goals, app preferences, and similar tracker data.

Google sign-in information

MonTake uses Firebase Authentication and Google sign-in. When you sign in, MonTake may receive and use your Google account display name, email address, profile identifier, and Firebase user ID to authenticate you, display your account, and associate your tracker data with your account.

Local and cloud storage

MonTake may store a local copy of your data in your browser using local storage. If you sign in, MonTake may also store your tracker data in Firebase Firestore so your information can sync across devices.

How information is used

• To provide subscription tracking, renewal reminders, budget summaries, and app features.
• To authenticate your account and sync your data across devices.
• To preserve settings such as currency, theme, privacy mode, filters, and saved preferences.
• To diagnose errors, maintain app functionality, and improve reliability.

Analytics

MonTake may use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand basic app usage, such as page views, install prompt results, and general feature engagement. Analytics is optional and is intended to help improve the app. If you choose essential storage only, MonTake will not intentionally enable analytics collection from the app.

Third-party service providers

MonTake relies on Firebase and Google services for authentication, hosting, and cloud data storage. Those providers may process information according to their own terms, privacy policies, security practices, and infrastructure requirements.

Information MonTake does not collect

• MonTake does not connect to your bank account.
• MonTake does not collect full payment card numbers.
• MonTake does not automatically cancel subscriptions.
• MonTake does not sell your personal information.

Data sharing

MonTake does not sell your tracker data. Data may be processed by service providers used to operate the app, may be disclosed if required by law, or may be used to protect the rights, safety, or security of the app, its owner, or users.

Your controls

You can export your data, clear local browser data, sign out, or delete your cloud data from the Settings page. Clearing browser data or deleting cloud data may be permanent and may not be recoverable.

Data retention

MonTake may retain your local data until you clear it from your browser. Cloud data may be retained until you delete it from the app, remove access, or the Firebase project data is otherwise deleted.

Security

MonTake is designed to store each signed-in user's tracker data under that user's Firebase account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and MonTake cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure.

Children's privacy

MonTake is not intended for children under 13 years old. Do not use MonTake if you are under 13.

MonTake may include links or search tools that open third-party websites. MonTake is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or security of third-party websites.

Changes to this Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of MonTake after changes are posted means you accept the updated Policy.
